The following classes run by Marion Thomson are in 5 week blocks finishing on Thursday 27th October. The second block of classes will begin Tuesday 08th November and finish 08th December
Drawing course
(Beginners and improvers) has been designed to develop skills in drawing focusing on various elements such as line, tone, form and composition. Through experimentation and a variety of techniques and applications students will gain confidence from drawing from different subject matter (still-life, figure, portrait, landscape and interior) and explore the potential to move towards painting
Drawing and Painting
Designed for beginners to more advanced and experienced students. The classes will be structured concentrating on observation and drawing, leading through to experimentation and exploration of different paint media and application.
Studio Practice
Offered to more advanced students. This will take the form of one to one tuition and advice to support individual ideas / themes / projects.
Life Painting
Designed to allow students an opportunity to develop a Life Painting or produce a series of studies from a sustained pose. For this course it is advised that students have some Life Drawing experience.
